Tellurite-Based Oxide Glasses for Novel MIR Fibers Applications with High Raman Gain


Tellurite glasses have been evaluated for fiber optic applications but are limited by low loss and moderate strength. These limitations can be improved by compositional design and control of extrinsic impurities and defects.
