This piece is my interpretation of an ancient myth of botany,
the legend of the Vegetable Lamb, a fabled plant that grew living lambs for its blooms. According to the story, the lambs were able to bend down and eat the plants surrounding it and were thus able to feed themselves until grown. Once all the surrounding plants had been eaten away, the lambs would either eat away the stalk to free themselves and join the herd or shrivel up and die, if they weren’t devoured by wolves first.
My piece was sculpted using FreeForm software and it will be printed by Objet in Full Cure 720.
